What does Dotvault cost?

Dotvault is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, and there is nothing to cancel.

There are three tiers — one for a single developer, and two team sizes — and the current prices are on the pricing section of the homepage. Two numbers there are easy to conflate, so it is worth separating them: the seats are how many developers a tier is sold for, and the activations are how many machines the key can be used on. Every tier gives each developer two machines, so a laptop and a desktop are covered without buying anything extra.

Every tier includes twelve months of updates. After that the app keeps working and your key never expires — there is a fuller answer on exactly what does and does not stop. Renewal is optional, costs less than the original purchase, and extends the date rather than replacing the key.

There is a fourteen-day trial with everything switched on and no card required, which is a more useful way to answer “is this worth it” than anything I could write here.
