How do updates work?

Dotvault checks for updates automatically when you launch the app. If there’s one waiting, a blue banner appears with a “Download update” button. Once it’s downloaded, click “Restart to update” to install it. You can also check manually any time via Dotvault → Check for Updates in the menu bar.

Dotvault runs on Apple Silicon only. If you’re on an Intel Mac, the version you already have keeps working, but it won’t find any new updates.
